What does C.A.T.E stand for?
The CATE acronym stands for Create, Analyze, Think, and Excel. Innovations are born from creativity. It is the source of exploration. Learning to analyze allows the learner to reflect and find solutions to everyday problems. The process of thinking allows the learner to reassess their information for evaluation. The application of Excel is the execution of solving the problem. These are the essential components to invention and exploration.
Why S.T.E.A.M.M.S and not S.T.E.M?
The acronym STEAMMS stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Music, and Sports. Despite the increase in STEM activities, you can't forget the importance of art, music, and sports which provides creativity, imagination, and endurance.
